Ah yes, Joe Duffy was waiting for this one. Paul Gogarty decided to bring his wee daughter to the Green Party press conference yesterday and Joe was ready to pounce.
It began when some idiot rang in to complain that his life sucks and 75% of his earnings go towards child care costs. Boo-hoo, I guess the Pope’s change of stance on condoms came too late for this gobshite.
Looking for a scapegoat for his shitty life, he pointed the finger of blame towards Paul Gogarty.
Now let’s be clear, Paul is an eejit. And being an eejit he decided to call up Joe to fight his cause. Big mistake, or was it?
Paul got crucified be the usual suspects of retarded Irish people who are so fucking angry that they don’t even know what they’re angry about. The economic mess? Fair enough. A guy minding his daughter? Fucking hell.
One of the points made was that Gogarty’s salary is paid for by the taxpayers. He’s on about 90,000 a year.

Conveniently for Joe Duffy, no one made the point that he’s on around 400,000. Does Joe Duffy get paid by taxpayers? Technically not. Duffy and his pals in RTE get paid by tv licence holders. An awkward fact for Joe and his colleagues is that if you own a tv and you don’t own a licence then you are a criminal.
Duffy is quick to mention the ESB cutting off electricity to people but he never talks about those who can’t pay for their tv licence and are faced with court action. A bit too close to Joe and his brigade of privileged asshole buddies in RTE to talk about it on their shows.
A bizarre argument from one caller was the issue of health and safety. What health and safety, I hear you ask. Well apparently it’s a health and safety issue for a parent to mind his child. This guy should know, he told the nation what his credential were: his wife works in child care. Fucking great credentials there mate. If this guy had been running the Catholic Church then no kiddie would have been fiddled with. Pity he chose a life of getting offended and ringing up radio shows. What a waste.
A Liveline show is never complete without the token loud mouth working class Dublin bitch. True to form, she was on shouting her arse off (because everyone knows that shouting loudly makes you more correct) about Paul and that it was so wrong of him to mind his daughter.
What very few people know is that this is an actress. This working class Dublin loud mouth is an actress from Donnybrook who gets paid 500,000 a year for putting on a thick working class Dublin accent and to talk through her hole. She shows up most days on Liveline to feign anger and to speak up for the poor downtrodden working class people of Dublin and Ireland.
Unfortunately for Joe, her contribution today backfired. It seems that most people couldn’t give a flying fuck that Gogarty had his kid at the press conference.
Gogarty was a fool for taking the bait, but Joe and the other retards behind Liveline have now been exposed for the assholes that they are.
It takes a hell of an effort to get people to have sympathy for someone in the Green Party right now. Well done Duffy, with incidents like this and your obvious love for Fianna Fail, you might save the Government yet!
